Salsas can be turned in at the following times:
Ribbons will be awarded to the best salsa in each category if 3 or more salsas are entered. If fewer than 3, then categories will be combined.
You may enter up to 2 different salsas per category-it does not have to be salsa from this year. Each salsa may only be entered in one category. For example, you can choose to enter a given recipe in a traditional category OR hot salsa but not both.
*Best Red Salsa (cooked).
*Best Green Salsa.
*Best Pico de Gallo (fresh, never-cooked).
*Hot Fire salsa (any kind that is blow-your-mind hot without sacrificing flavor - judged on both).
Provide at least 1 quart of salsa with list of ingredients and method of preservation if not made for immediate eating (water bath canning, freezing). May enter up to 2 different salsas per category.
Pre-registration is preferred by August 7, using the form below but you can register at the fair. With pre-registration, you get a pre-filled, typed information card for your salsa! The forms will be available for you to pick up during drop off.
